CyberBay Community Guidelines
Build What’s Next—Together
CyberBay is where cybersecurity, emerging tech, and talent converge. This community exists to accelerate ideas, share expertise, and strengthen the ecosystem—together.
What you contribute here shapes the experience for everyone. Let’s make it count.
Code of Conduct
The standard for how this community operates.
CyberBay brings together practitioners, founders, educators, operators, students, and public-sector leaders. These guidelines are here to protect the quality of the community and make collaboration stronger for everyone inside it.
1. Show Up with Respect
We’re building a high-caliber, inclusive community.
- Engage with professionalism and respect
- Challenge ideas, not people
- No harassment, discrimination, or hostile behavior
Strong perspectives are welcome. Disrespect is not.
2. Add Signal, Not Noise
This is a space for meaningful exchange.
- Share insights, not just opinions
- Keep posts relevant and intentional
- Avoid repetitive, low-value, or off-topic content
If it doesn’t move the conversation forward, rethink posting it.
3. Build, Don’t Broadcast
CyberBay is an ecosystem—not an ad channel.
- No spam, mass promotion, or unsolicited outreach
- Share opportunities in the right spaces, with context
- Be transparent about affiliations
Contribute first. Promote second.
4. Protect What Matters
Security is core to who we are.
- Don’t share sensitive, proprietary, or personal information
- Use discretion when discussing vulnerabilities or threats
- Operate with integrity and within legal/ethical boundaries
If it could create risk, it doesn’t belong here.
5. Make It a Place to Learn
From students to seasoned operators—everyone belongs here.
- Encourage curiosity and questions
- Share knowledge without ego
- Offer guidance that’s constructive and actionable
We’re not gatekeepers. We’re builders.
6. Respect the Work
Innovation depends on trust.
- Credit sources, ideas, and contributions
- Don’t plagiarize or misrepresent work
- Honor intellectual property and licensing
Give credit. It matters.
7. Follow the Lead
Moderators are here to maintain quality and trust.
- Respect moderator guidance
- Report issues when you see them
- Understand that violations may result in removal or restricted access
We protect the integrity of this space—consistently.
8. Raise the Standard
This isn’t just a forum. It’s a signal of what CyberBay stands for.
- Be thoughtful in how you show up
- Help others succeed
- Contribute to a culture people want to be part of
The strength of this community is what we build together.
Enforcement
We protect the quality of the community.
To protect the community, CyberBay may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend access when guidelines aren’t followed.
If you see something, say something.
If you know something, share something.
If you’re here—build something
